Bliss OS is an open-source, Android-based operating system built specifically for x86 PC hardware. The Go edition in this build is trimmed down and tuned for low-spec machines, netbooks, and old laptops that would choke on a full desktop OS — giving them a second life as a proper Android device with the Play Store, mouse and keyboard support, and a desktop-style launcher.

What Is Bliss OS

Bliss OS is one of the most actively maintained Android-x86 projects around, built by the BlissLabs team on top of Android 13. Instead of running Android inside a virtual machine like most emulators, Bliss OS installs and boots as a real operating system — either from a USB drive as a live session or fully installed onto a hard drive or SSD, sitting right alongside or replacing Windows.

This 16.9.7 Go build is aimed at x86_64-v2 hardware — think older Core i3/i5 laptops, budget netbooks, or any machine that struggles with a modern Windows install. It ships with GApps pre-integrated, so the Play Store, Play Services, and Play Protect all work out of the box without any manual patching.

It also includes weishu's KernelSU, which means root access and Magisk module support are available without needing to install Magisk separately or write to the system partition — something most Android-x86 forks still can't do cleanly.

Key Features
Google Play Store Built In
GApps pre-integrated — sign in and install apps immediately, no manual gapps package needed.
KernelSU Root Support
Grant root and run Magisk modules without touching the system partition.
Blissify Customization
Deep control over lock screen, home screen, icons, gestures, and display behavior.
Desktop & Tablet Launchers
Switch between a taskbar-and-start-menu desktop mode or a touch-friendly tablet UI.
Go Edition, Low-End Tuned
Trimmed for x86_64-v2 hardware — runs smooth on netbooks and aging laptops.
Gamepad & Keymapper Support
Profiles for common controllers plus Tincore Keymapper for keyboard/mouse-to-touch mapping.
How To Install
NOTE: Back up your data first. Installing to a hard drive will format the target partition.
1
Download the ISO using Server 1 or Server 2 above.
2
Flash it to a USB drive using Rufus (Windows) or BalenaEtcher — minimum 4GB USB stick.
3
Boot from the USB by entering your PC's boot menu (usually F12, F11, or Esc at startup).
4
Choose Live or Install — Live lets you try it without touching your drive, Install writes it permanently.
5
Follow the on-screen setup to partition storage, then reboot into Bliss OS once complete.
