What is Phoenix OS DarkMatter?
Phoenix OS DarkMatter is a community-built Android x86 operating system created by the SupremeGamers team, led by developer HMTheBoy154. It is based on Phoenix OS but has been so completely reworked that calling it a Phoenix OS mod barely does it justice — it has its own SystemUI, its own kernel builds, its own gaming protocol and its own identity.
Unlike other Phoenix OS mods which mostly change wallpapers and basic settings, DarkMatter digs deep — custom kernel compilation, Mesa 3D graphics driver updates, Google Play Services optimizations that prevent CPU overuse, controller support via keylayouts from Google, AOSP Night Mode, WideVine DRM support and much more.
Version Exo 4.7 AHS (Advanced Hardware Support) is specifically built for AMD Ryzen 5000 series and Intel 11th/12th generation CPUs — the most modern hardware support available in any Phoenix OS mod. It also works on older hardware through the kernel 5.10 fallback option.

Installation Guide - Step by Step
Installation will create a new partition on your hard drive. Back up all important files first. Do NOT partition your only drive if you have only one drive with Windows on it — you may lose data if done incorrectly.

Download all 4 files listed above — DarkMatter ISO, Rufus Package, AOMEI Partition Assistant and Free Fire APK.

Install AOMEI Partition Assistant on Windows. Open it and shrink your Windows partition to create free unallocated space — minimum 25 GB recommended for DarkMatter.
Create at least 30 GB of free space so you have room for games and files inside DarkMatter.

Extract the Rufus RAR using WinRAR or 7-Zip. Password is 1234. Insert your USB drive (8GB minimum). Open Rufus and select the DarkMatter Exo 4.7 ISO file. Click Start to flash the USB.

Restart PC and Boot from USB — Press Delete or F2 at startup to enter BIOS. Set USB as first boot device. Save and restart. The DarkMatter installer will load.

In the DarkMatter installer, choose Install to Hard Drive. Select the unallocated free space you created with AOMEI. Let the installation complete — do not interrupt.

CRITICAL — Xen Gaming Protocol: When you see the first boot setup screen, DO NOT select Gaming Protocol. Uncheck it using Spacebar. Select it ONLY after the system fully boots and you understand what it does.
For Free Fire specifically — the default stock gaming settings work best. Do NOT apply Xen protocol for Free Fire unless you want to experiment.

Complete initial Android setup — connect to WiFi, sign into your Google account. Open Google Play Store or Aurora Store to install your games. For Free Fire, use the APK download link from Download 4 above.

Play Free Fire! DarkMatter automatically unlocks Max FPS and Graphics for Free Fire without any third party tools. Open the game — go to Graphics settings — set to Ultra and enjoy!
If you need a kernel fallback for older CPUs, boot into Gearlock at startup and switch to the Kernel 5.10 version for better compatibility with older hardware.
